Michelle L. Cunningham DVM and Joseph B. Bruzgul DVM
Dr. Michelle Cunningham and Dr. Joseph Bruzgul purchased Bay Moorings Animal Hospital on September 5th 2007.
Dr. Cunningham is originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies, in June 2003. Her veterinary career began in Buffalo, New York, where she was an Associate Veterinarian for Dr. Bruzgul. After 3 very chilly winters in Buffalo, she and Dr. Bruzgul decided to open a Veterinary Hospital in the Sunshine state. While searching for the perfect place, Dr. Cunningham worked as an Associate Veterinarian in North Palm Beach and Dr. Bruzgul continued to work in his veterinary hospital in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. Cunningham has an interest in exotic and avian pets. She has done several exotic externships during and after veterinary school, as well as volunteering at the Buffalo Zoo. Although she has an interest in exotic pets, her passion is internal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Cunningham is licensed to practice veterinary medicine and surgery in Florida and New York. She is an active member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and is an honored member of the Manchester Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, going to the beach, travel, and spending time with her furry family.
Dr. Bruzgul is originally from New York. He graduated from Cornell University in 1975. Dr. Bruzgul's veterinary career started in the Hamptons, where he was mentored by a personal friend, leading him to his successful professional career as a Small Animal Veterinarian as well as owner of six small animal hospitals, including Bay Moorings Animal Hospital.
Dr. Bruzgul served as the President of the Western New York Buffalo Academy from 1981-1984, President of the New York State Western Regional Veterinary Medical Society in 1982, and President of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society in 1993. He was an Executive Board Member of the New York Veterinary Medical Society from 1988-1994. Dr. Bruzgul is licensed to practice veterinary medicine and surgery in New York, Florida, Virginia, and Georgia. He is currently an active member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the New York State Western Regional Veterinary Society, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the Western New York Niagara Frontier Veterinary Association.
His passion in veterinary medicine is soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
During his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golf, and traveling.
